The well-designed panelled front door reveals a useful space, fitted with shelves, which can be used as a little bookcase.
The low top (the kneeling surface) is flat and lifts up again to reveal a wide and useful storage space.
This piece can be a beautiful Prie-Dieu – Kneeling stool in a private Chapel or, as often used nowadays in Italy, a bedside table/cupboard or an interesting piece of furniture for a small entrance or hallway.
