An extremely rare 18th century harlequin breakfast table/écritoire based on a design by Thomas Chippendale. Concealed, mechanically lifted stationery drawers with fold-out writing slope and secret compartments. Parquetry inlaid table surfaces above a storage compartment with silk-lined, wirework doors and side panels. Item No. 0068.DateGeorge III :
