A French Empire Armchair

Description
An early 19th century painted and gilded French armchair. Upholstered in a neutral silk material the generous sized seat makes for comfortable seating. The fluted arms are finished with pretty scroll tops and the sleigh shaped wooden frame is supported by two front fluted legs with gently shaped back legs.
A delightful rare example of the elegant empire period. Remarkable condition for a two hundred year old chair. A collectors item.
