Description

Large and impressive Scottish Rococo chimneypiece in Sienna marble. A large shell cartouche is flanked by deeply carved scrolled foliage. The angled cabriole legs are decorated with acanthus leaves on the front and sides. The curved and chamfered inside returns benefit from carved panels all below a substantial serpentine shelf. Overmantle mirror sold separately.
