Description

Pair of vases signed Schoelcher in Paris, the ovoid parts which are rotating decor represent ornaments Empire style such as soup tureens, triton, bay leaves and stylized rosettes are matt gold on an Egyptian blue background, while the feet and the neck are in brilliant gold. On each side of the vases the col de cygne handles, a garland of biscuit roses. Empire period around 1800-1810. Note a slight lack of gilding on a neck, a restoration on the handle of a swan and small chips on flower petals.
