Early 19th Century Scandinavian Painted Box

Description

Hand painted in royal blue with yellow trim and decorated with various flowers in pastel colours. The top of the box is slightly domed with a small wired handle. The main body is similarly painted with some reminants of historic travelling labels to one end. The inside is nice and clean. The whole piece has some wonderful patina to it and has its orginal lock. There is some past wordworm that has been treated and a small split to the top.
