Description

A beautifully carved 19th century wood mirror from the period of Louis Philippe, this French piece is a great size for an entrance hall or reception room, or will look fabulous in a French inspired boudoir or bedroom.

- Original gilding and glass.
- Lovely carving with flowers and foliate motifs.
- Original planked back held in place with shaped beading.
- Modern wire wound around screws at top for the purpose of hanging.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are some small patches of desilvering, but the glass is generally clear and the reflection good. One panel of the backing wood is slightly loose, but retained by the beading. The extremities of the carving are in good condition.
