Description

An elegant and lightweight pair of ebonized Chiavari style chairs with woven seats, these date to the turn of the 19th century.

- Ebonized wood, probably beech.
- Elegant turned back spindles and front stretchers.
- Splayed legs, back and front.

These chairs are ultra-lightweight and relatively delicate, possibly not suitable for regular seating, but will look stunning as decorative pieces against a wall.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is a small break in one strand of the weave towards one of the seat fronts. The crest rails have some distressed wear along the top, but there are no breakages to the fine extremities.
