Description

An unusual and quirky coffee table in the shape of a plough, with a circular glass top and a beech base. A beautifully hand crafted piece signed by Francis Zanker (1928-2022) who was a master craftsman, artist and author who taught at Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham and Loughborough University.

- Removable circular plate glass top, which rests on rubber cushions pegged into the beech supports.
- Removable ploughshare shapes attached by contrasting dark wood nuts on wooden bolts, screwed onto beech circular washers.
- End caps to beam and supports are crafted in dark contrasting wood.
- Small size, with circular top 61 cm in diameter.

This will make a great talking point for any room. The piece is stable, nicely crafted and a small size which will fit well beside a chair or sofa.

In good condition showing only minor wear consistent with age and use. The glass is in good condition.
