A charming early 19th century needlepoint sampler by Mary Cargill, with lovely decoration, depicting peacocks, trees, deer with the embroidered initials D C and I D.
Small hole to the fabric just above the peacock, strong colours and in good condition, with a neat edging to the work. Framers label to the back. Dated 1800-1820s
