Police Cutlass

Description

A Victorian Cutlass Generally referred to as a police sword. Research shows that the blades of these weapons may have been utilised from withdrawn and obsolete 1796 Cavalry swords that were not sold out of service. They were first issued as a police weapon but spent all their police life in the police armoury never actually being issued for wear. With the acceptance of the Pin-Fire pistol as a sidearm for the police the swords were obsolete and passed as a sidearm to Prison Warders. They were never worn and kept their entire time in an armoury. The sword is in very good order with all stitching on the scabbard intact. You must be over 18 years old to buy this weapon. Post cost will be fifteen pounds.
