Description

A very beautiful Japanese Naval Katana Kyu-Gunto. The fittings on this sword are exceptional and far superior to the fittings normally found on Kyu- Guntos The scabbard is covered in a beautiful black polished same(Fish skin.) The fittings still retain most of their original gilt finish. The hilt is standard world war two. The naval tsuba is silver plated. The menuki has a family mon. The blade is Shinto( Early 1700s) The blade has some original polish and is untouched. It does however have some small pitting patches.The tang is unsigned.The hamon is a beautiful Nokogiri-Midare Hamon. This Naval Katana is of exceptional quality.
