Splendid looking late 19th century English silk top hat and leather travelling box.An elegant and well made top hat with its original delightful printed makers label 'Simpson & Harvey' , Liverpool. And the case which is charmingly travel worn but still retaining its original fittings for the hat ,brass lock and steel key.

ConditionSome slight wear and tear to the hat, with losses to the silk around the top edge. Also wear to the box, as to be expected in all. Also some sympathetic restoration to a high standard which includes a replaced leather securing strap to the outer of the box.
