This is a playful pair Art Deco spelter bookends of the Greek God Pan, who carries his panpipes and is tussling with a goat. Pan is the God of shepherds and sheep, hunting, rustic music and is also associated with fertility and springtime.

He is a satyr, and has the hindquarters of a goat, and his musical instrument is also called a panflute.
