Description

Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this super 3 piece French oak Buffet is in very good all round condition. It stands on scroll feet and a deep a moulded plinth.
​The base section has a single shelf which is enclosed with a pair of moulded panel doors complete with original brass escutcheons and original working lock with key. The frieze drawers are well constructed, run with ease and have later (but quite old) brass handles. The middle drawer has it's original working lock with key.
The top section has 2 shelves to the inside which are both adjustable up and down and are enclosed with a pair of moulded glazed doors which match the base doors, and also have their original escutcheons and later working lock with key. This is all complimented with a traditional Louis Philippe lift off ogee moulded cornice.
This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the Buffet but it has all been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

58.5 inches wide
24.5 inches deep
39 inches high.
top is 54 inches wide, 19.5 inches deep / 17 internal and has an over all height of 91.75 inches.
