Description

A stunning antique lacquered & gilt oriental folding screen / room divider in carved lacquered & gilded wood. This was made in East Asia, possibly China or Japan, it dates from the early 20th century around 1900-1920, or possibly a bit earlier.

It is of wonderful quality, it is a very large, impressive and heavy item. There is stunning carving depicting various scenes of pagodas, trees, birds and people.

The condition is excellent for its age, there is just some extremely minor surface wear and one tiny chip to the very lower edge of one panel, seen in the images.
