Description

A beautiful antique mahogany kidney shaped desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

This actually has a brass placque in the top drawer from when it was presented as a gift in 1947. The wood is a tightly figured fiddleback mahogany, with walnut cross banding on the drawer fronts. The drawers have high quality brass ring pull handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. This has a lovely kidney shape, the top is inset faded black leather. The stretchered base is beautifully designed, this has a polished back so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
