Marvellous Furniture

Description

This desk is made of well-figured mahogany and has an arrangement of five drawers around a kneehole. It has ebonised edging to the drawer fronts, octagonal black bakelite handles and tapering legs. It dates to the 1930s.

The top is 114cm wide by 51.5cm deep and it stands 78.5cm high. The kneehole is 52cm wide and 62cm high.

In good condition with a few very minor imperfections. It was probably originally a dressing table though no visible trace remains of the missing mirror.
