Marvellous Furniture

Description

Made of solid walnut, this Arts & Crafts walnut armchair has a curved top rail, well-figured back splat and unusual chamfered front legs that flare out towards the bottom. It has a drop-in seat covered with hide.

It displays elements of both the Cotswold School and the Brynmawr furniture makers and may have been made by someone affiliated with either one or both of these.

It measures 91cm high, 55.5cm wide and 49cm deep. The seat is 45cm off the floor.

In overall very good condition. It has been reupholstered in its original hide, which is in good condition with attractive wear.
