Description

With pierced decoration, attractive metalwork, a flattened cornice and planked back, this bureau bookcase is a fine and practical example of Arts & Crafts design. The decorative metal flowers, above the slatted piercings on either side, are an extremely unusual feature. Of stained oak, it dates to c.1900 and was probably made by the well regarded firm of Harris Lebus.
