Description
Probably made by Wylie & Lochhead to an E.A.Taylor design, this oak card table has pierced split hearts to each apron and elegantly shaped feet at the end of tapering legs. The veneered top swivels and unfolds, revealing a baize surface, and it has a undershelf with moulded edge.DateArts and Crafts

ConditionThe table has been cleaned, polished and restored, but a few old marks and scratches in keeping with its age are visible on the top. The veneer on the top has minor splits in a couple of places and, though they have been glued back down, the imperfections are visible under close scrutiny. The baize is original and has been left in place despite a split along the crease.
