Very fine and elegant giltwood overmantel mirror dating from 1870.Frame water-gilded to the very highest of standards using genuine 23.5 karat gold leaf.
Frame has finely executed reeded pillars terminating in delicate spandrel decoration. Frame surmounted with a cartouche cresting.
Original mirror plate with light overall foxing.
Original backing board.
Sizes 145 cm tall, 132 cm max width at base, main frame width 111 cm.
