Fine Antique Mirrors

Description

Stunning PAIR of Giltwood Overmantel Mirrors dating from 1845. Made by Arthur Whitcombe, Coventry Street, London.
Sizes 168 cm tall, 147 cm max width at base.
Both mirrors are in stunning overall condition, all water-gilded with genuine 23.5 carat gold leaf.
Mirror plates are in good overall condition, one being original with light overall foxing and one of slightly later date, but not modern.
Both complete with original backing boards and one with it's makers label for Arthur Whitcombe, which dates these mirrors to 1845.
All decoration is wonderfully crisp and detailed.
