Description

A charming antique washstand with solid pine turned legs, grey and white marble top, and pretty brown on cream floral tiles. The washstand would originally have been used in a bedroom or bathroom for washing with a jug and bowl, but would make a perfect dressing table or hall table, or even a small desk. Slightly narrower than many washstands, it would fit nicely into smaller rooms.

The washstand has a single long drawer, and brass coloured metal swing handles. It has castors on each leg, and a lower shelf. The original tiles are by Decorative Art Tile Co., pattern number 1539.

Dimensions: Width 76cm, Height 110cm, Depth 43.5cm.

The washstand is in very good condition, with minor signs of use. There are some marks and small chips to the marble top, and minor marks to the wood. The tiles are undamaged. It has been carefully cleaned and the wood finished with oil. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures. Please note that these washstands were designed with a loose top, i.e. the marble rests on the base and is not attached. It will therefore be delivered in 2 pieces.
