Set of 3 G Plan Dining Chairs

This is a set of G Plan dining chairs, made in the late 1950s, and part of the Tola and Black range. (The matching dining table is for sale separately from LucianLinnellVintage). The elegant chairs have tapered ebonised legs and black vinyl seats and backs. There is black cotton fabric underneath the seat with the gold E Gomme G Plan stamp, showing that the furniture dates from the early years of G Plan.

The set is in excellent vintage condition. The chairs have some signs of use but are extremely good for their age with firm joints. They have been carefully restored the legs have been repainted and finished with protective varnish the chair seats and backs have been cleaned. There is a small slit in one of the chair seats (see last picture) and the fabric underside of the chairs is slightly frayed (some more than others - see picture 5 for the most worn). On one of the seats, a small section of the inset decoration (where the vinyl is pushed in to create the decorative line) has risen up.
