A tidy and unusual example of an arch top overmantle mirror. This one has the original glass which has a little reassuring foxing but quite clear and useable. The original pot feet are in place and it has only had the most minor of restoration over the last 100 years or so. The detail in the gilt work, over a partly ebonised back to give an enhanced outline, is really really fine and makes this rather special. The other thing is the size, smaller than most and although the shape is certainly not rare the proportions of this one is not at all common. All in all a great mirror that we suspect will not be repeated in a hurry.
We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
