This is a large set of 8 vintage laboratory sieves. An English, brass stacking scientific apparatus,dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1965.

Fascinating set with superb period and display appeal
Each displaying a desirable aged patina and in original order
Quality brass, lightly weathered with rich golden tones
Graduated depths and sieve grids, from a fine filter to a broad diagonal mesh

Usefully stacking in nature, the top sieve with inset handle
Finished with a concentric scale displaying microns and inches
Brass plaques to the front displaying the grade of each sieve
Further marked with N Greening maker's mark and British Standard number
