This is a very large antique partner's desk. An English, mahogany and leather twin pedestal desk by Maple & Co, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Exceptional proportion and arrangement to this grand desk
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Inset leather skiver to the top, embossed to the edge with repeat pattern

The wide top supported upon a pair of deep pedestal bases
Arrangement of drawers across the upper fascia with a double wide centre drawer
Dressed with brass drop handles over distinctive shaped backplates
Locks fitted throughout, in working order — set of four keys present

Pedestal accentuated with field panels to the ends and to the cabinet door
At the reverse of each pedestal, a bank of three graduated drawers
One central drawer replete with the Maple & Co maker's emblem
Finished with continuous plinth bases over inset castors
