Description
This is an antique master specimen chest on stand. An English, satinwood document archive or collector's cabinet, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.Of a striking, superior finish - perfect for the most treasured of items
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Dashing satinwood presents incredible figuring and light caramel hues
Deep moulded fascia panels add to the distinctive appearance
Shallow sarcophagus top with a fall-front fascia aids access to the set of six graduated drawers
Front panel dressed with an inset brass lined lock — key absent
With oak drawers boxes, each is dressed with quality brass recessed cup handles
Five drawers with an internal height of 3.5cm (1.5") with the final drawer set at 6cm (2.25")
Raised upon a quartet of serpentine cabriole legs and united with a H-stretcher
