A lovely Arts and Crafts golden oak student bureau bookcase, dating to circa 1910, with great quarter sawn figuring to the oak on the fall flap. With two book shelves and a fitted interior it is extremely practical. The handle on the fall flap is nicely detailed and the lock is working and it comes with a key. Offered in pretty good condition, it has been refurbished ready for another 100 years of service, and has a great colour. I have made some repairs where necessary, including to the side of the left foot, and I have re-blocked the base so it is strong and stable. There a small shallow dip and burn mark to the edge of the top, as photographed and light staining to the bottom shelf (which would be obscured by books). None of these take away from what a pretty object it is. It measures 119cm high, 65cm max wide at the foot, 32cm deep at the foot and the lower shelf is a good practical size at 61cm internal width and 28.5cm high, so it will take decent sized books.Delivery free within 30 miles of Taunton but elsewhere likely £60.00 within England and Wales, and more to Scotland. Standard Furniture Delivery
You should receive the goods 10 - 14 days after ordering, more time is required for delivery to the Far North and Scotland. The furniture is sent with small independent and friendly couriers, who take very good care of the furniture whilst in transit. Delivery is to the door, but with request the driver will normally assist into a secure place, house, garage, outhouses, etc.
Levels Antiques do not accept responsibility for any damage caused on the customer's premises when the delivery is being made.
Drivers mobile number available for liaising on day of delivery. Only one delivery attempt will be made with arrangements for the drop off being made in advance.
