Description

A signed watercolour by E.L.Beckles (1888-1986). She was born E L Linton and studied at Watford School of Art taking the name Beckles, after the village in which she grew up, to sign her paintings. She moved to St Ives in Cornwall then, after her marriage, moved again to Bristol. This lovely painting of working heavy horses was likely painted in the thirties .

The watercolour measures 36 cm x 53 cm (14" x 21")
The outside measurement of the frame is 58 cm x 72 cm (23" x 28.5")
