Photos

Description

A good watercolour by the artist Paul Braddon (1864-1938) showing the marketplace at Dunster, Somerset with Dunster Castle in the background. Paul Braddon (born James Leslie Crees) was interested in architecture and began his career sketching buildings, but soon moved on to watercolours. This glimpse of the beautiful little town of Dunster shows his interest in the architecture of the place. The gilt frame appears to be contemporary with the painting.

The painting is 29" x 21" (74 x 53 cm)
The frame measures 38" x 30" (97 x 77 cm)
