Description

A large armorial banner of Clan McIver, with rope fringing and tasselling. The crest is hand painted on an olive silk ground with boar's head above quartered shield and inscribed "Nunquam Obliviscar". The banner measures 24" x 18" (61 cm x 45.5 cm) and is mounted in a glazed frame.

The McIver brothers were a crucial part of setting up and running the Cunard Line from its inception in 1839.
