Description

John Wallace (1841-1903) painting as George Pipeshank for Cope's Tobacco. This is an original watercolour design for a tobacco advertising poster, depicting a court jester leaning on a barrel and smoking a long clay pipe. It is signed and dated December 1886 on the lower left corner.

We have just had this painting matted and framed ready for hanging. The size of the watercolour is 9" x 7" (23 cm x 18 cm). The outside frame measurement is 17" x 14" (43 cm x 36cm)
