Description

A very interesting pair of lithographs after J Nichol. One is entitled Outward Bound and shows a poor, ragged man at Dublin Quay looking for passage to America. The other, entitled Homeward Bound, shows the same man, well dressed and affluent, at the Quay of New York, looking for passage back to Dublin.

The lithographs measure 26.5 x 17.75 cm (10.5" x 7") and the outside measurement, including the frame, is 41 cm x 30 cm (16" x 12")

From the original by J Nichol 1854, these are 'drawn on stone by T H Maguire lithographic artist to The Queen. They are framed by C D Cresswell of Liverpool whose label is on the reverse.
