A charming 19th century oil painting of a river running by a village with a figure in a boat. It is signed J Barclay (Horace Hammond) 1842-1926. It is a romantic pastoral scene beloved of Victorian artists and is mounted in an ornate swept gilt frame.

The outside dimensions of the frame are 32" x 22" (81 x 56 cm)
The painting size is 24" x 13" (61 x 33 cm)
