Fabulous! This is a rare and special find - an Antique Victorian (c.1880) A1 Sheffield Silver Plate Smokers companion set - Heavy and substantial it has a barrel with a top for cigars/cigarettes and two fixed match tidys, together with a removable ashtray - to the rear is a 10 piece cigar rack - measuring c. 10" inch wide on a 8 sided base, beautifully made and finished, and sitting on 4 bun feet. Underneath there are clear EPNS silver marks - 4 period screws are present, 2 replacement screws - this is a fine piece of Victorian craftsmanship by John Gallimore of Sheffield (1876-1896)m, that has polished up beautifully - All in all a magnificent period ensemble that will not disappoint and would grace any elegant dinner table for those after dinner cigars!.
