This square powder compact has been carefully preserved since the 1940's in its original packaging - the image to the front which is "Gold Embossed" with 22 carat gold is of Diana, Roman Godess of The Hunt, The Moon and Birthing, is very nice. Made in England, but unmarked with a maker's name, All clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to a clean interior and an inner opening lid. Measuring c. 7.9cm x 8.6cm, it is in lovely vintage order. The box itself has seen light storage, and is marked 1944. A great piece that I am sure will find its way to an appreciative buyer.
