Super period piece from the 1950's by KIGU - A wonderful muscial powder bowl/box the gold tone case measures c. 3.1/4" inch square and stands on 4 small embossed feet - the top has the iconic Jester's Crown by KIGU, it is so difficult to find this model in this sort of condition, all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a clean interior with a nice clear framed mirror, the musical mechanism is in good working order, tinkling away when lifting the lid - made in England - the puff and sifter have long gone, but it is in overall very nice condition showing only minor signs commensurate with its 60+ years! - Originally used as a powder bowl with a puff, it now makes a wonderful trinket and/or jewellery box to pop on one's dressing table.
