Beautiful, and just a little bit different, this gorgeous vintage powder compact is in lovely condition. Measuring c. 2" inch diameter all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a nice clean interior with a powder sifting mechanism, a clear, slightly convex mirror beneath which is a further empty powder well, possibly for rouge - all in all a gorgeous piece. The top has a wonderful black and white cameo image of a lady with birds, the base has a guilloche pattern. The original finger ring is still intact. C. 1930/40 There are no makers or hallmarks, it is a white, silver coloured metal, ornate and beautifully made - this will certainly not disappoint.
