Fabulous! - This is a beautiful piece by Stratton, signed Baron in good working order, whilst pre-loved, it looks to be totally unused even though the powder is present and a puff. Depicting the popular ballerina Svetlana Beriosova in Marius Petipa Ballet "The Sleeping Beauty" - The top is immaculate, all clasps and hinges are in good order and the musical mechanism is playing a beautiful tune. The bevelled mirror is clear and still has its original stickers. Measuring 3.1/4" inch x 2.3/4" inch with a lovely scalloped edge. Under an eye-glass I can see a tiny (pin prick) ping to one side, does not detract, but I mention for accuracy. The powder cake is present beneath the sifter and the puff is looking its age, but the compartment looks undisturbed so I have left it intact. A fabulous collectable powder compact that will not disappoint!.
