This is a wonderful early 1940's Vogue Vanities powder compact, measuring c. 3.1/4" inch diamenter, the top is a matt finish set to a black background with a red & white rose - All clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to a nic clear mirror, an inner opening lid and a beautiful soft swansdown puff (signed Vogue Vanities). The original VV signed pouchette is also present - this is a lovely piece, pre-loved but well preserved it is sure to delight!.

Vogue Vanities were producing powder compacts in England as early as 1930, apart from a brief stop during the war period, they manufactured until the mid 1950's, ultimately being bought out by the manufacturers of Stratton compacts.
