Fabulous, this is an absolutely stunning vintage powder compact c. 1950 in virtually MINT condition - A wonderful enamel finish to the top with the enamel budgerigar slightly embossed against a sky in a perfect blue - adorable!. Measuring c. 2.7/8" inch 97.2cm), all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a clear framed mirror, there is a sifter in the empty godette and a Melissa lable. The base is engine turned in a criss/cross hatch pattern - A quality piece - Made in England for a very short time during 1950's Melissa compacts are difficult to find in this sort of exquisite condition. A black pouchette and box are present - this little beauty will certainly not disappoint!.
