Fabulous! In absolutely beautiful, unused condition. The deep blue guilloche enamelling on this wonderful powder compact and cigarette case is immaculate. Iconically Art Deco each piece is stunning!. Marked with the hallmark of respected silversmith J Gloster of Birmingham, I can find no other hallmarks which may be under the mirror, whilst it is testing for silver, in the absence of assay marks (which may be under the mirror?), I will sell as white metal. The powder compact is in top quality piece made in England, the clasps are perfect and they open to reveal a clear framed mirror and original sifter. Measuring c. 3.1/4" inch (8.3cm) diameter. The cigarette case is 2.3/4" inch x 3.1/4" inch, again beautiful condition, opening to a gilded interior. The retaining elastic is still intact but has prised away (see pics), this does not detract but I mention for accuracy. All carefully retained in their original hard, velvet & silk lined box with brass fittings - Very special, these beauties are superb and sure to delight the most discerning of buyers.
