This is the finest mother of pearl card case I have seen. Absolutely stunning, the pearl being of a particularly high lustre, exquisitely done with a wonderful flower pattern to both sides, with silver cartouche & fittings all in good order. Measuring c. 4.1/4" (110.4cm) 3.1/8" inch (7.9cm). Dating c.1880 this is a very fine antique piece sure to delight! Originally used by Victorians for calling cards, they now make unique gifts for keeping business and/or credit cards in.
