Beautiful, this is a gorgeous, absolutely stunning vintage powder compact by S.O. Bigney and Co of America - c. 1930/40 it is an adorable period piece - the workmanship and quality is extraordinary with wonderful engine turning to the ront and base - stamped appropriately, but not hallmarked for silver I will sell as white metal, it has an exquisite enamel panel depicting a lady in an attractive bonnet in a cameo effect - all clasps and hinges are in perfect order, opening to reveal a very clean interior, with a puff, a place for rouge and a seperate compartment for powder - the mirror is well set, but shows minor clouding with age (does not detract) - measuring 3" inch long, with an original beautiful strong chain!. A very special collectable powder compact that will delight the most discerning of buyers
