Description

This is a lovely piece by LSM Parklane - in a black enamel with gold insert giving the impression of a snake skin effect. A powder compact, a rouge compact, a lipstick holder, bevelled mirror to one side, and to the other a cigarette holder, money holders and a small "secret" compartment (probably for pills or matches). Measuring 4.3/8" inch long (11.1cm) x2.3/8" inch wide all clasps and hinges are in excellent order, opening to reveal a nice clean interior. With a carrying handle, this is an elegant Art Deco piece in very nice vintage condition that will not disappoint.

LSM is the brand name of L.S. Mayer, originally manufacturing before the war in Germany. After the war, he moved to England manufacturing in Scotland under the name "LSM".
