This is a fabulous Gwenda powder compact - dating c. 1930, it is in amazing vintage condition. Measuring c. 1.3/4" inch square with shaped corners, the gorgeous, vibrant colours of the foil picture depicting two budgerigar birds is set beneath a clear celluloid cover. Chrome based, all clasps and hinges are in excellent order, and no signs of corrosion, opening to reveal a high polish steel mirror to the top, with an inner opening lid which is fully engine turned, a nice clear powder well and a small pale green puff are present. Adorable piece with a fabulous theme, in the best of order that will delight collectors the world over.
