This is a pretty, vintage powder bowl/trinket dish in the form of a half doll crinoline lady in a wonderful wide brimmed hat, with her arms out. Beautiful powder blue glaze with a strip of lace to the central part of her dress - standing c. 4.1/4" inch tall with a circa 3" inch wide base, she is a real sweetie - Marked "Irene Series" Foreign in brown underglaze to the base, she dates mid war, possibly German, c. 1930, I suspect she was originally a small powder bowl, now the perfect place to pop those pins and brooches at the end of a long day! There are no chips or cracks evident, (her right arm has an underglaze mark which looks like it was part of the firing process as opposed to a repair) some very minor crazing commensurate with age is present. An adorable piece that I am hoping will find her way to an appreciative buyer!
