Stunning! - Fully hallmarked to each ballet dancer for Birmingham 1948, this fabulous 2 ballerina bar brooch designed by Fredrick Massingham and retailed in London Jewellers DH Philips. It has nice clear marks showing the Registered Design of 853615. Substantially sized, and with the two ballerina's this is a rare piece - a simple period c catch and long pin are present to the rear.A Collection of Fred Massingham's designs are on display in the Jewellery area of the UK's Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. This is a fine example, with a super weight at c. 11.5g, it is substantial and a real eye catcher! - This little beauty will not disappoint!
